Slow Cooker Granola Recipe
4 cups rolled oats
1 cup nuts/seeds (I used both)
1 – 2 tbs of brown sugar
1 tbs of cinnamon
1/4 tsp of sea salt
1/2 cup of coconut oil melted or olive oil
1/2 cup of maple syrup
1 tbs of vanilla
1/2 cup hemp
Directions
Grease your slow cooker well with coconut oil. Mix well all the dry ingredients together in crock pot. Add the wet ingredients and mix to make sure everything is well coated. Cook on high for 2 – 2 1/2 hours, stirring every half hour. To have a crunchier granola place the lid of the crock pot askew so as to leave some room for air to circulate. Once done, turn the crock pot off and you can then add chopped up dried fruit, 1/2 cup hemp hearts. Mix well and pour granola on a cookie sheet to cool down. Place in a sealed container.
The house smells so good, the aromas of cinnamon, roasting nuts... warm and cozy. Try it as a dessert, a snack, on yogourt, top off your smoothie with some crunch!

It is used by all our cells to keep things going. Protein builds muscle mass, supports neurological functions, helps in digestion and helps to balance hormones. Protein is also good to help in weight loss as it keeps you feeling full and your body has to work to work harder to digest protein than refined carbs.
Adding hemp hearts to your breakfast and your other meals is such an easy way to get this protein, and the protein in hemp is mostly edistin, which easily digestible.
